The 9 Best Pet-Friendly Airbnbs in London (& VRBOs too)
Many of us have pets, and hate to be away from them when we travel – especially to far-flung destinations like London. If you can’t bear the idea of parting, you may actually consider bringing Fluffy or Fido with you while traveling – and that means finding pet-friendly accommodation wherever you go.
Luckily, London is a very animal-friendly city. You’ll see people out walking their dogs in the parks, and spot the occasional cat hopping over a garden wall while exploring the neighborhoods. People in London love their pets, and that means you can find pet-friendly Airbnbs in London, and other vacation rentals too.

While I generally leave my best feline friends at home in the care of our favorite Rover, I still know what to look for when comparing pet-friendly places to stay. In this post, you’ll find the best pet-friendly Airbnbs in London as well as a few I found on VRBO too. There are other hurdles to jump to bring your best four-legged friend to London too, but let’s get this part of your London itinerary squared away.
1. Charming Apartment in Central London

Alex and Sherry’s place has everything you and your furry companion need to feel at home in London. Let’s start with its location. The amazing apartment is just a two-minute walk from Farringdon Station. Its surroundings are brimming with excellent pubs, bars, and restaurants. Since the building is centrally-located, all major forms of transport are just a few feet from the door of the building.
The interior is luminous and features a sleek Scandinavian design. The living room and bedroom are cozy and comfortable, plus the bathroom features a bathtub! One of the main advantages of this apartment is that it has an elevator, so you don’t have to lug your stuff up the stairs. Also, it’s one of the few pet-friendly Airbnbs in London that don’t have a strict policy regarding a dog’s weight and breed restrictions.
2. Large Fitzrovia Studio Flat

Located in the heart of Fitzrovia, this lovely studio apartment is a fantastic place to call home during your stay in London. The flat has everything you’ll need for either a long or short stay in London, including a modern bathroom (with great shower pressure), a roomy kitchen area (including Nespresso machine and pods), and a bedroom for three guests.
Sitting in Fitzrovia, the flat is a perfect base to discover the city. It is close to Oxford Circus, Regent’s Park, and a hub for the tube and bus lines to any part of the city. The apartment is also one of the best pet-friendly vacation rentals in London if you’re traveling to mainland Europe via the Eurostar train – St Pancras is only a twenty-minute walk from the apartment. The flat’s neighborhood is also full of attractions, shops, and restaurants.
3. Cozy Clerkenwell One-Bedroom by Blueground

Blueground has listed this fabulous Clerkenwell one-bedroom apartment for pet lovers who want to explore the city with their furry friends. The flat features a bespoke design, with contemporary furniture and clean lines. Everything, from the walls to the furniture, boasts pastel colors. As for the distribution, the flat has a fully-equipped kitchen, comfortable living room, and bedroom with a quality mattress and luxury linens.
There are numerous pubs and eateries (some pet-friendly!) along the building’s street. You’ll also be close to Leicester and Russell Square if you need to walk out your pup. While the flat does accept pets, they apply weight limits and breed restrictions. Other concerns worth noticing are that it is a walk-up building and that you must book it for a minimum of one month.
4. Traditional Fitzrovia Two-Bedroom by Blueground

If you’d like a little bit more space for your stay in London, you can check out Blueground’s Fitzrovia furnished two-bedroom apartment. It’s pretty similar to the Clerkenwell apartment, with modern decor, a fully-equipped kitchen, in-apartment laundry, and a comfortable living room. The apartment features two bedrooms and can sleep up to four people.
You can’t beat the flat’s location. Its surroundings are rife with Georgian squares where old-fashioned pubs sit alongside hip coffee shops and independent eateries. You’re also within walking distance of three Underground stations: Tottenham Court Road, Goodge Street, and Warren Street. Once again, remember that Blueground has weight limits and breed restrictions for pet owners.
5. Modern Bloomsbury One-Bedroom by Blueground

The district of Bloomsbury is one of London’s most elegant postcodes. It is famous for being home to intellectual institutions such as the British Museum and its numerous garden squares, including Bloomsbury Square, Russell Square, and Bedford Square.
Blueground’s one-bedroom apartment sits in King’s Cross, and its proximity to these green areas is what makes it one of the top pet-friendly Airbnbs in London. The apartment features a bedroom with quality mattresses and luxury linens, a living room, a fully-equipped kitchen, and a full bathroom with cozy towels. There’s also a courtyard and indoor parking for those who rent a car. While Blueground has a pet-friendly policy for this listing, they apply restrictions regarding a pet’s size and breed.
6. Spacious, Historic Westminster Flat

This Historic Westminster Flat is one of the most family and pet-friendly vacation rentals in London. The owners refurbished the flat in July 2019, and they’ve made excellent use of space, mirrors, and lights. The listing has one bedroom with a Super King bed and lounge with one single sofa chair bed and a king-size sofa bed. It can sleep up to four people in total, giving enough space for a family to feel comfortable during their stay in the city. Regarding convenience, it is close to iconic landmarks, including the Houses of Parliament and Buckingham Palace. You also have St James Park a few minutes away to take your four-legged friend for a walk.
7. Central Shoreditch 2-Bed & 2-Bath

Young couples or groups of friends will love this central Shoreditch apartment. The fantastic apartment oozes the same eclectic and vibrant atmosphere as Shoreditch. Alexander, your host, has decorated the flat with quirky artwork (expect the iconic Pink Floyd women’s back poster hanging above the TV), rustic furniture, and vintage leather sofas and armchairs. The result: a fantastic flat with lots of character.
Regarding the space, the flat features two bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, and a balcony roomy enough for two to enjoy a drink. There’s one bedroom with an ensuite bathroom. You’ll also find another bathroom with a shower bath next to the balcony. While the location is excellent, some travelers warn that Alexander’s place sits on a busy road in Shoreditch, so just be ready for some noise throughout the day and night.
8. Modern Waterloo One-Bedroom by Blueground

Blueground also offers a pet-friendly apartment in Waterloo, one of the most convenient areas to stay in London for tourists. It’s a one-bedroom apartment with a lovely style and architecture. They’ve decorated the space with beautiful and functional furniture. There’s a fully-equipped kitchen, a cozy living room, and a bedroom featuring superior quality mattresses, luxury linens, and towels. The living room has a premium wireless speaker and smart TV. There’s also an in-apartment laundry. The highlight of the apartment is its location: Big Ben and the London eye are less than 0.3 miles away. Like most Blueground apartments, this property also has restrictions on certain dog breeds and sizes.
9. Quirky Central Shoreditch Apartment

Here’s another rental alternative in Shoreditch. I love how spacious and luminous this apartment is with all rooms featuring floor-to-ceiling windows, offering excellent views of the city. The apartment comes with a fully-equipped kitchen, a lovely living room, an in-apartment laundry, and a luxury bedroom. Unlike other buildings, this property does feature an elevator, making it easy to take your pup out when nature calls.
As regards the location, the flat has excellent access to transport links – Old Street and Liverpool Street Underground stations are within walking distance, and Shoreditch and Hoxton Overground stations are at a short distance walk. You also have most of Shoreditch’s must-see spots near your flat, such as the Box Park near Shoreditch Highstreet Station. You’ll love exploring the area on a weekend when markets at Brick Lane, Columbia Road, and Spitalfields come to life.
