The Point A Hotel Liverpool Street is one of the nicest budget-friendly hotels near Liverpool Street. It boasts a phenomenal location, with seamless access to the underground rail system. The rooms are rather small, but for the price and location, it is a good trade-off. Still, rooms are well laid out, with enough space for a couple to have a pleasant stay.

Great St Helen Hotel

- Distance: 0.3-mile, 6-minute walk
- Price from: $129 per night
- Click to Book: Booking.com or Hotels.com
A nice little hotel in the heart of the city, the Great St Helen Hotel is famous for being one of the most affordable hotels near Liverpool Street.
Like many of its counterparts, the rooms are small. If I’m being honest, in London you must decide between space and location. At this location, you will not find a bigger room for that price. Still, rooms are modern and comfortable, featuring a wardrobe, big comfy bed, smart tv, and big shower.
Thanks to its central location, you’ll be close to many attractions, plenty of public transport, nice restaurants, and markets nearby.
The Buxton

- Distance: 0.5-mile, 11-minute walk
- Price from: $113 per night
- Click to Book: Booking.com or Hotels.com
If you can get a room in The Buxton, don’t think twice and book it. The Buxton is a little bit further than other hotels on this list, but for the price and experience, this boutique hotel is stunning. Yes, it features small rooms (as is the case for so many “efficiency hotels”), but the design is smart to provide as much space as possible, and the decor is delightful.
Location-wise, the hotel sits at the end of Brick Lane and is close to the tube station, with loads of shops, restaurants, and things to do and see. Last but not least, the breakfast is above and beyond what you’d expect from a hotel breakfast. Everything is house-made and the menu is filled with imaginative dishes prepared with fresh, interesting ingredients.
Travelodge London Central City Road Hotel

- Distance: 0.5-mile, 9-minute walk
- Price from: $117 per night
- Click to Book: Hotels.com
Travelodge is always a safe bet for those coming to London; it’s the only “chain” hotel that makes my list of cheap hotels near Liverpool Street. This outpost of the British hotel brand features a fantastic location. You’ll be within walking distance of the Tower of London and the Thames, and also have great train and tube connections.
In terms of comfort, the rooms are basic but very clean and tidy. They feature all the fundamentals: a comfortable bed, a spotless bathroom, a desk, and a TV. The only downside, if you’re a light sleeper, is the noise. The hotel’s front faces a busy road and the back faces a service road where deliveries are made and bins are emptied. Still, nothing that a pair of earplugs can’t solve.
